[Abstract]:
At present, the COVID-19 pandemic is still spreading severely globally. With the continuing efforts of the whole country, China's defense control work is in order, setting a good benchmark for global epidemic prevention work. Premier Li Keqiang has repeatedly proposed to improve our nucleic acid testing capabilities.
 
In order to improve the nucleic acid field detection and rapid detection capabilities, our company has initiated the in-depth cooperation with the Institute of Microbiology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences to carry out research on the rapid diagnosis system of respiratory virus nucleic acid based on loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP method),which has been recently funded by the Beijing Science and Technology Commission.
 
LAMP is an isothermal approach to nucleic acid amplification (using a single temperature) and does not require the thermal cycling of PCR. This temperature requirement enables use of more portable or less expensive instruments. All detection steps can be completed within 30 minutes so it is especially useful in field settings for rapid diagnosis of pathogens or infectious disease agents like SARS-CoV-2, malaria, Zika, or tuberculosis, etc. 
 
The developed compatible SARS-CoV-2 nucleic acid detection reagents are also constantly being optimized, and will soon obtain the required qualifications to enter the European Union and other countries' markets.
